Hull’s new Lord Mayor wants to meet you

Hull’s newest Lord Mayor of Kingston upon Hull and Admiral of the Humber is inviting Hull residents to pay him a visit.

Councillor Steve Wilson, who was installed in office last week, is hoping to meet city residents at his At Home event next week.

The event will be held on Saturday 8 June from 10.30am to noon in the Banqueting Hall at the Guildhall in Alfred Gelder Street.

Cllr Wilson will then take part in the annual Lord Mayor’s event, which this year combines with the Hanse Day festival in Queen Victoria Square and Trinity Square.

Visitors will be given the chance to buy plants to help raise money for the Lord Mayor Charity Appeal fund, which this year supports Age UK, Ganton School and the Hull Bullnose Heritage Group.

Tickets are free and available from the Civic Office on 01482 615093.
