A helpline launched yesterday to support those most in need as a result of the coronavirus pandemic has already supported more than 100 residents.
More than 160 people have called the Hull Helpline in its first 24 hours.
Most of the calls were from residents requesting support with essential food and the collection of medication.

To mobilise the support, the council has set up three hubs across the city, drawing on a network of 40 voluntary organisations including North Bank Forum, as well as partners including Humberside Police and Humberside Fire and Rescue.
Hull City Council has also joined forces with Absolutely Cultured to coordinate a citywide response utilising its blue-coated army of volunteers.
Starting today, the council will also be contacting residents who have been identified as potentially being in need of extra help. These people have been identified from council and NHS databases.
Those who have no one available to help or advise them and need the council to step in can fill in an online form at hull.gov.uk or call the Hull Helpline on 01482 300 307. It is open seven days a week, 9am-5pm.
