Ferens Art Gallery gets ready for Turner Prize winner announcement

Advance Notice of Temporary Closure: Tuesday 5 December

The Ferens Art Gallery will temporarily close to the public on Tuesday 5 December as Hull prepares for the announcement of the winner of this year’s Turner Prize by acclaimed DJ, producer and artist Goldie.

Turner Prize 2017 is now on display at The Ferens Art Gallery, as a highlight of the Hull UK City of Culture 2017 programme. Featuring work by the four shortlisted artists, Hurvin Anderson, Andrea Büttner, Lubaina Himid and Rosalind Nashashibi, the exhibition is free and runs until 7 January 2018.

Tune into BBC News Channel on Tuesday 5 December from 9.30 to 10pm to watch the winner being announced in a special programme live from Hull Minster. The broadcast will be repeated on BBC 4 the same evening from 10 to 10.30pm.

The Ferens Art Gallery will re-open as normal on Wednesday 6 December at 10am.
