Ferens Art Gallery will be revisiting and celebrating this year’s Open Exhibition with an all-day digital takeover on Friday.
On the Humber Museums Partnership website and through social media channels, this year’s event will be remembered through images, interviews, memories and blog posts.
Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “The annual Open Exhibition is always one of the highlights of the Ferens programme.
As always, this year’s open featured a diverse range of artworks.
“This year’s Open was sadly disrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic, so I’m delighted that we will be celebrating and revisiting this year’s stunning exhibition on Friday with a special digital takeover.”
This year was the 53rd annual Open Exhibition, which celebrates some of the best artistic talent in the region, and beyond.
The exhibition featured more than 370 artworks including paintings, sculptures, photography, ceramics, textiles and film produced by amateur and professional artists.

The art gallery wants to encourage friends, visitors and artists to get involved in the digital takeover on Friday by sharing their own memories and images of this year’s and previous Open Exhibitions.
