Celebrating Older People’s Week 2021

As part of the Older People’s Partnership, Hull City Council will be supporting and celebrating Older People’s Week (Monday 28 September – Friday 1 October) with a programme of fun activities, entertainment, and information events.

The events will include a series of activities and entertainment to celebrate and showcase the contributions that older people are making to our local community and society today and the positive impact that cultural activities can have on health and wellbeing, reducing loneliness and isolation in our aging population.

‘’The programme of events organised by the Older People Partnership is invaluable in supporting older people in and around Hull to live a healthy and more independent life’’ says Cllr Lunn Portfolio Holder for Adult Services and Public Health.”

Cllr Lunn continues ‘’ It’s a fantastic opportunity for local and national organisations from the voluntary/community/private and public sector to raise awareness of their services which older people can access’’.
