Residents invited to help create new Humber Mouth project

Humber Mouth literature festival has launched a new project in conjunction with the Freedom Festival for 2020.

The Hull Story Map is inviting contributions from the city’s residents to create a new digital map complete with their words about Hull.

Writer and artist Joanna Walsh was commissioned as Humber Mouth’s Digital Writer-in-Residence and has created this brand new interactive project and wants the people of Hull to get involved.

Talking about the project, she said:

“The Hull Story Map is made of stories, of memories, of feelings, of words.

“Please add to the map by typing in a postcode and write a word, a sentence, a paragraph, a memory, a sensation, an event, an emotion.

“Together we’ll build Hull online as a city made of stories.”

The map is live now until the end of the Freedom Festival on Sunday 6 September.
