Free adult swimming sessions back for winter 2022

Free adult swimming sessions are back thanks to the Hull Big Swim campaign, led by Hull Culture and Leisure.

Launched in 2019, the Hull Big Swim aims to motivate more adults to get active.

The free adult swimming sessions will be on offer from Monday (31 January) for eight weeks at Ennerdale Leisure Centre, Woodford Leisure Centre and Beverley Road Baths.

And those feeling anxious about returning to the swimming pool can also take advantage of confidence sessions to ease their transition back into the water.

Further discounted swimming sessions for up to 12 months will also be available for adults participating in the campaign.

Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “I am really pleased that we are again able to offer this scheme that encourages more people to swim, build confidence in the water as well as offering future discounted swimming sessions.”

Councillor Hester Bridges, portfolio holder for leisure and deputy leader at Hull City Council, said: “The Big Swim is a fantastic way to encourage our residents to become more active. Swimming is a great way to keep in shape for your health and wellbeing, both physical and mental.”

Ask reception staff at any of the participating sites about how to register for the free adult swimming pass.
