Hull names going for gold at UK’s largest tourism awards

The people behind some of the city’s most recognisable tourism brands will have their fingers crossed tonight at the region’s prestigious White Rose Awards.

The ceremony – the largest tourism awards ceremony in the UK – recognises Yorkshire’s best businesses, organisations and venues.

And the finalists this year include DoubleTree by Hilton, Hull Truck Theatre, the Bonus Arena, Hotham’s Gin School and Distillery, The Deep and Freedom Festival Arts Trust.

Hull has representatives across a number of categories, including two of the five finalists – Hull Truck Theatre and Freedom Festival Arts Trust – in the arts and culture category.

Hepworth Arcade’s Hotham’s Gin School and Distillery are finalists in three categories – Experience Of The Year, New Tourism Business and Small Visitor Attraction Of The Year.

The awards take place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds tonight.
