Barrow Boys late-night planning application approved

Councillors have approved an application for a city centre bar to stay open until 1.30am on weekends.

The Barrow Boys, on the Fruit Market, had its application approved by the council’s planning committee this afternoon.

The bar will be able to stay open until 1.30am on Fridays, Saturdays and Bank Holidays, with the exception of Bank Holidays that precede working days.

The venue will continue to close at 11.30pm for the rest of the week.

A change-of-use planning application for The Barrow Boys was approved last month.
