Social distancing measures are being applied by Hull City Council Registration Service in line with Government guidance on limiting public gatherings due to coronavirus.
The service is currently going ahead with pre-booked ceremonies, but attendee numbers have been limited to 10 per ceremony.
For a marriage, this means the couple and six guests, as two registrars will also be present.
This change is pending any further advice from the Government or the General Register Office.
Any changes will see Hull City Council Registration Service contacting all couples affected.
