Essential roadworks are to get under way in Saltshouse Road from Tuesday 27 August.
The work will be split into two phases. During phase one, carriageway works will take place between house numbers 23-27 in Saltshouse Road. Temporary traffic signals will be in operation. These works will be completed on Friday 30 August.
During phase two, resurfacing works will take place between Holderness Drain and Holderness Road from Saturday 31 August – Sunday 1 September. Saltshouse Road will be closed between Middlesex Road and Holderness Road for the duration of the works. Traffic will be diverted via Holderness Road, Bellfield Avenue and Middlesex Road.
Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “These planned works are essential and are being carried during the school summer holidays as traffic tends to be lighter on the roads. We hope this will minimise disruption to motorists and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Access will be maintained for residents and businesses via Middlesex Road.
