Road works to begin in Bude Road

Essential road works are to get under way in Bude Road from Monday 19 August.

The repair and resurfacing work will take five weeks to complete. Traffic management will be in place, along with a road closure for through traffic.

Overnight works could take place outside Home Bargains, with all other works carried out under temporary traffic lights from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “To allow our contractor to carry out the work safely and swiftly, a road closure will be in place.

“We apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of works, and ask that motorists are patient whilst we carry out these essential repairs.”

Access will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the scheme. Bin collections will remain unaffected by these works.

Scheduled bus services will be diverted via Holwell Road and Tiverton Road before returning to their normal route. Bus diversion route information will be placed at affected bus stops.
