Hull schools open to vulnerable and key worker children only, with home learning provided for all other pupils

Key actions of Hull schools announced

Hull’s Learning Partnership is continuing to plan for a wider opening of schools to ensure schools are as safe as possible for pupils, staff and parents.

All schools confirmed on Thursday 21 May the key actions they will take, including robust risk assessments in line with Department for Education (DfE) guidance, to ensure the safety and protection of children, staff and adults.

Schools will remain open for critical worker and vulnerable children of all ages. Some additional year groups in primary schools will be invited back to school over a two-week period following Monday 1 June. Exact dates will be announced by each school.

The invitation of further year groups to attend will depend on the capacity in each school and may involve a rota system.

Home learning provision for all children and young people will continue for those not in school.

Secondary schools are awaiting further guidance from the DfE and will then announce their arrangements for Years 10 and 12.

All wider opening arrangements will be dependent upon the Department for Education announcement on Thursday 28 May.
