Legendary US rock band Blondie will perform at Hull’s Bonus Arena next year.
Led by frontwoman Debbie Harry, the group is one of the most influential bands to emerge from New York’s punk scene in the mid-1970s.
They have announced a 10 date UK tour to begin in November 2021, their first UK tour in four years.
This includes a date at Hull’s Bonus Arena on 11 November 2021.
Tickets for this standing and seated gig go on sale on Friday at 10am.
Songwriter Harry, guitarist Chris Stein and drummer Clem Burke will perform in the city along with long-standing band-mates bassist Leigh Foxx, guitarist Tommy Kessler and keyboardist Matt Katz-Bohen.
Joining Blondie will be Garbage, led by Shirley Manson, who was invited to induct Blondie into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. Garbage have sold more than 17 million albums and many of their own singles are now considered alt-rock classics.

Harry said: “Next year’s UK tour is more meaningful to me perhaps than the very first time Blondie played there in the mid 70s. The UK has always been a special place to us, and being able to come back to perform there after sitting out most of 2020 is very exciting.”
They will perform classic hits Heart Of Glass, Atomic, Tide Is High, Maria and more.
Tickets for Blondie with special guests Garbage go on sale on Friday 23 October at 10am. They will be available online via www.bonusarenahull.com or online at Ticketmaster. Telephone sales are unavailable at present. Accessible tickets can also be purchased online.
