Do you have what it takes to be Hull’s next Young Mayor?

The search is on for Hull’s next Young Mayor.

The Young Mayor represents young people in the city, acting for their opinions rather than for a political party.

Last year, Emily Koyunca was elected as the city’s first Young Mayor.

Councillor Peter Clark, portfolio holder for learning, skills and safeguarding children, said: “It’s important that young people in our city have a voice. Roles like this, as well as the Young People’s Parliament, gives them the opportunity to have their say on key issues locally and nationally.”

“Emily has done a fantastic job as the first-ever Young Mayor and I’m sure the next Young Mayor will be just as successful.”

The role of Young Mayor is open to people aged 11 to 17 who live in Hull.
