A set of free online guides to help good parents become great parents is available to those caring for children.

‘Understanding your child’ guides help Hull parents, grandparents and carers to better understand behaviours, relationships and boundaries to help children deal with the challenges of moving towards adulthood.

The online guides are available by visiting the Our Place website and entering the code ‘Freedom’.

  • Different types of communication

Councillor Peter Clark, portfolio holder for learning, skills and safeguarding children, said: “Hull City Council recognises the important role parents and carers have in securing positive outcomes for children and young people across the city, and that is why we are adopting this approach.”
