Comedy returns to Hull’s Trinity Market

Some of the funniest comedians in the region are heading to Hull’s Trinity Market for a night of great food, drink and laughter.

Trinity Laughs will return on Friday 2 July. The comedy night launched last year before the Covid-19 pandemic put plans for future events on hold.

The event has been organised by Vittles & Company, Trinity Market’s very own craft beer bar and micro-brewery.

Richard Rockett from Vittles & Company said: “Our first night back in March 2020 was a big success, but then of course we had to put our plans for future events on hold.

“Now though, we’re back and raring to go, with plans to run these every month. Trinity Market is a fantastic venue for this kind of event, and we’re delighted to be able to help bring it to life once again.”

As well as the comedy, visitors will also be able to enjoy food and drink from Trinity Market’s resident vendors.

One of the acts lined up for July 2 is Fran Garrity, who featured on BBC Radio 4’s New Comedy Awards.

In 2017, Fran was chosen for a support slot with Jason Manford on his Muddle Class Tour.

The first event of the year will be compered by local favourite Gary Jennison, and will also feature sets from Howard Walker, Haseeb Malik and Milly Armstrong-Clark.

The show will start at 7pm and finish at 10.30pm.

Tickets cost £10 and can be bought here.
