Coronavirus: Free workouts delivered into your home

With many leisure facilities in Hull now closed, residents are turning to home workouts as a way of stay fit while in coronavirus lockdown.

Now fitness coaches from Hull City Council’s leisure centres are offering free online sessions that can be done from the home.

A range of sessions will be uploaded daily to Live It Hull’s social media accounts, offering workouts including intense cardio sessions and strength training tutorials.

And a new Try It At Home page has been created on the Hull Culture and Leisure (HCAL) website to encourage residents to keep fit and stay active within Government guidelines.

Activities range from NHS-approved workouts incorporating strength and cardio, to Disney-themed dancealongs.

Hull’s community organisations have also contributed including Fitmums and Friends, who have created a “stay at home mile challenge”.

The fitness workouts are now available on the HCAL site. Workout of the day classes are available every weekday at the Live It Hull Facebook and Twitter pages.
