Lord Mayor to bring new Christmas Tree Festival to Hull Minster

Business and organisations have been invited to take part in a charity Christmas tree festival next month.

The event will see decorated Christmas trees displayed at the Hull Minster.

It takes place from Tuesday 3 to Sunday 8 December from 10am to 4pm.

Funds will be raised for the Lord Mayor’s Charity Appeal Fund, which this year supports Ganton School, Age UK and Hull Heritage Bullnose Trust.

Lord Mayor, Councillor Steve Wilson, said: “This is the first time we’ve held an event like this and I think it will prove very popular with both those entering a tree and visitors to the completed display.

“Organisations can either enter a tree or can offer to sponsor one for the duration of the event.

“I’ll be inviting the team behind my favourite tree to afternoon tea in the Lord Mayor’s parlour, so the more eye-catching the better.”
