Chariot Street will be closed for two weeks as emergency excavation works are undertaken.
From Monday 14 Friday 25 May 2018 Chariot Street will be closed to traffic as Yorkshire Water and Hull City Council carry out joint investigative works in order to repair the road surface and ensure that it is structurally sound.
Four-way traffic control will be put in place at the junction of Carr Lane, Anne Street, South Street and Anlaby Road.
Parking will be temporarily suspended on South Street and the north side of Paragon Street to allow two-way traffic flow. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
We anticipate that there will be increased congestion, and motorists are urged to make alternative travel plans and utilise the citys public transport network and park and ride service.
