Green Port Hull is a finalist in the category for Excellence in Planning for a Successful Economy at the Royal Town Planning Institutes (RTPI) Awards for Planning Excellence 2018.
The RTPI Awards are the most established and respected awards in the UK planning industry. Running for more than 40 years, they celebrate exceptional examples of planning and the contribution planners make to society.
Green Port Hull is England’s only offshore wind renewable industry hub, delivered through multi-disciplinary working between private and public sectors, across terrestrial and marine environments.
Councillor Martin Mancey, Hull City Council portfolio holder for economic investment, regeneration and planning, said: I am delighted that Green Port Hull has been named as a finalist for this prestigious award. The nomination shows how important the Green Port Hull development is proving to be for the regions growing green energy sector. The citys economy is trending upwards and Green Port Hull has been a major influence on this trend.
