Every Day Counts competition winners announced

Fifteen school pupils have today won prizes for attending school every day throughout November.

The Every Day Counts campaign encourages pupils to attend school every day for the benefit of their education.

80 schools nominated a total of 18586 pupils for attending school every day in November.

Headteachers from the city’s primary and secondary schools, alongside the council, launched the campaign, and pupils who achieved 100 percent attendance in November were entered into a prize draw, with Viking FM offering £250 for both children and parents plus 14 prizes of gift vouchers, concert tickets, cinema tickets and technology.
