City singing projects come together for Christmas celebration

A celebration of singing is coming to the Guildhall next week and you can bag a ticket to join them.

Singing City Christmas will see a selection of singing groups, who have grown out of the council’s Singing City initiative, come together to entertain an audience on Wednesday 18 December.

Hull Freedom Chorus, Hull Visual Choir and the Hull Chaps Chorus will bring festive performances to the evening, alongside a whole host of other entertainment including a music quiz, bottle tombola, prize for the best Christmas headgear, book/CD/craft stall and disco with DJ Paul.

Councillor Dave Craker, portfolio holder for leisure and culture, said:”This is a fantastic event for everyone to get in that festive mood just in time for Christmas.

“These groups work so hard on their craft and I know they’re really excited to entertain everyone attending.

“This event is a fun fundraiser to support ongoing work developing singing in Hull and all are welcome.”

A complimentary glass of festive fruit punch and a mince pie will be on offer to anyone purchasing a ticket.

The event takes place at the Guildhall on Wednesday 18 December from 7pm until 11pm.

Tickets can be purchased via hullboxoffice.com.

The Queens Gardens masterplan will provide enticing open spaces, improved access and seating.
