Trinity Market transformed into winter wonderland

Hull’s thriving Trinity Market is getting into the Christmas spirit this year after a festive transformation.

The market’s food hall will be converted into a winter wonderland with twinkling lights, greenery and a Christmas wishing tree ahead of a series of events.

A Christmas kids’ zone with snow and a sleigh will be in place, while a photographer will help visitors to create images for keyrings and Christmas baubles.

Lucy Lines, Trinity Market manager, said: “I’m so excited about our plans for the festive period. The market is going to be transformed into a winter wonderland with plenty of fun things going on for all the family.

“We’ve got some fantastic independent traders selling all kinds of stocking fillers and Christmas gift ideas, as well as tasty festive treats. I can’t think of a better place to do your Christmas shopping this year.”

Festive children’s events will take place every weekend from Saturday 16 November to Saturday 21 December, including chocolate-making, cupcake-decorating and writing letters to Santa.

Comedy duo Jed and Gary will being their mischievous brand of humour to the market on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December.

Middle Child Theatre will host a family Christmas quiz on Saturday 14 December, when carol singers and panto favourites will also be at the market.

Trinity Market is working in partnership with Hull Minster to host a Victorian Market on Saturday 7 December in Trinity Square.
