Hull City Council is proud to support a new, affordable travel initiative run by Hull Trains
The Hull Leisure Return ticket allows visitors to return travel to Hull and back, from Doncaster, Selby, Howden or Brough, for a discounted fare of £10 or less.
Anthony Yates, Head of Visitor Destination for Hull, said:
“At a time when we know people are feeling the pinch financially, it’s fantastic that Hull Trains can offer this low-cost solution.
“We want people to be able to come to Hull and enjoy everything it has to offer – whether that’s a sporting event, a theatre trip or any of the eateries and restaurants, without having to worry about additional costs.”
The price of a Hull Leisure Return train ticket, by station, are as follows:
Doncaster – adult £10, child £5
Selby – adult £8, child £4
Howden – adult £6, child £3
Brough – adult £4, child £2
David Gibson, Managing Director of Hull Trains, said:
“We are encouraging local travellers to leave the car at home, protect the environment and save some money.
“The holiday season is approaching, so this offers people an inexpensive option for travelling to Hull to enjoy the city.
“Visitors can also stay overnight should they wish, as they have up to 28 days to use their return Hull Leisure Return ticket.”
There are no time restrictions, and customers can travel on any Hull Trains service on weekdays and weekends.
Customers will need to select a Hull Trains service, then pre-select a return service or book as an open return and travel back within 28 days from the date on the ticket.
Hull Leisure Returns are available to book on the Hull Trains website and app, and at station ticket offices. The ticket can only be used on Hull Trains services.
