Roadworks to begin in Great Union Street

Essential maintenance works will begin in Great Union Street from Monday 15 June.

The road will be closed to northbound traffic between Witham and Clarence Street and vehicle access will on be permitted one way from North Bridge and Witham and exiting from Clarence Street.

Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways at Hull City Council said: “To carry out the works safely, a road closure will be in place.

“We apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of works and ask that motorists are patient while we carry out these essential repairs.

Access for pedestrians and emergency services will be maintained.

It is estimated that these works will take eight weeks to complete.
