Over 4000 victims of anti-social behaviour supported in 2020

Hull City Council’s neighbourhood nuisance team is working in neighbourhoods across the city to tackle anti-social behaviour (ASB).

In 2020, the team dealt with 4333 complaints of ASB and supported just over 4000 victims and witnesses.

The top three categories of reported ASB were-

  1. Noise nuisance
  2. Intimidation, harassment & verbal abuse
  3. Drug related ASB

The team have a dedicated ASB victim’s champion who supports the most vulnerable individuals suffering from anti-social behaviour.

Councillor Mike Thompson, portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and communities, said: “Anti-social behaviour in our neighbourhoods is not to be tolerated and we have a dedicated team of officers who work hard to address anti-social behaviour issues.”
