Wizarding World Wand installation to visit Hull

The stunning Wizarding World Wand installation is set to visit Hull, as well as three other cities in the UK this Spring, to celebrate the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, in cinemas on 8th April 2022.

The four chosen cities – Hull, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and Reading – were voted for by the public and will each host the exciting installation for seven days.

Hull, which received the most public votes, will launch the tour, followed by Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent and ending in Reading.

The full dates and locations are:

  • Hull, Queen Victoria Square – 2 – 8 March
  • Birmingham, the Bullring – 11 – 17 March
  • Stoke-on-Trent, Smithfield – 21 – 27 March
  • Reading, the Oracle Shopping Centre – 30 March – 5 April

Standing 15 feet tall and set within concrete bases, the nine wands – bringing to life those belonging to some of the favourite characters in the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts films – will illuminate each evening, performing a light show to the thrilling music from the Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter films.

Polly Cochrane, Country Manager WarnerMedia UK & Ireland, says, “We are delighted that this stunning installation will be touring for the first time next month and the magic will be shared with even more fans. Following a nationwide vote, it’s exciting to know that we’re bringing the wands to the biggest Wizarding World fans across the UK as we celebrate the upcoming release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.”
