Hull leisure facilities to reopen next week

Leisure facilities across Hull will reopen next week, as national Covid-19 restrictions begin to ease.

Ennerdale and Woodford Leisure Centres, Albert Ave Pools and Costello Stadium will all welcome back users for gym, swim and racquets bookings from Monday 12 April.

Outdoor fitness classes will restart, although indoor classes, alongside steam rooms and saunas will remain closed. Similarly to previous reopenings, numbers permitted in the gym and swimming pool will have a reduced capacity to ensure strict social distancing and hygiene guidelines are maintained, and all visits must be pre-booked online via the website.

Online bookings for the Animal Education Centre at East Park will open from Wednesday 14 April with a one-way system.

Tee time booking slots are now also open at Sutton Park golf course.

Alison Walker, Director of Leisure Services for Hull Culture and Leisure said: “We’re really pleased to be reopening leisure centres and our teams are looking forward to welcoming customers back.

“Encouraging people back to active sports and recreation is a great way to lift spirits, promote health and wellbeing and help us all to fight the effects of lockdown.

“It is still incredibly important that customers follow the latest Government guidance on social distancing and hygiene which can be found at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.”

Booking will be available 48 hours in advance for members and 24 hours in advance for pay as you go customers. Sessions can still be booked at www.hcandl.co.uk/bookonline.

All customers and visitors are asked to read the COVID-safe procedures for our sport and leisure facilities here.

Both Beverley Road Baths and the Hull Ice Arena remain closed while the refurbishment and maintenance works continue.
