121 new houses in Bilton Grange given conditional approval

Plans for 121 new houses in Bilton Grange area of Hull have been granted conditional approval by planners.

Plans were approved by Hull City Council’s planning committee yesterday to allow the houses to be built on land to the west of Grange Road in east Hull, subject to the legal agreement and some revisions to access.

The 121 homes will be a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced units under the plans, which include provision for 12 affordable houses.

The 3.71-hectare site is an area of rough grassed land previously used by Oakfield School as playing fields. It is surrounded by housing.

Pedestrian and cycle access is proposed to the south of the development to Wingfield Road.
