Panic Shack set to shake up the stacks at Hull Central Library

Get It Loud in Libraries present Welsh band Panic Shack in partnership with Hull Libraries, a live music event held in an unexpected setting: Hull Central Library.

Hailing from Cardiff, Wales five-piece Panic Shack bring their own brand of punk attitude to Hull Central Library as part of their 2023 tour.

This show was due to take place on Thursday 23 February, but has now been rescheduled to Sunday 21 May due to band member illness.

With infectious hooks, steady beats and gritty bass, the band showcase the best in raw, high-energy live music.

Bursting with punk power this bass heavy band pack a punch with sardonic lyrics, skilled song-writing and seamless harmonies that elevate the bans beyond your average fem-punk outfit. Panic Shack, who are top picks at Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 1, are sure to raise the roof at Hull Central Library.

Get It Loud in Libraries brings audiences of all ages the rare chance to get up close and personal with their favourite acts, previously hosting acclaimed musical acts including Adele, Idles and Wolf Alice.

Audiences give resoundingly positive feedback to the literary-meets-music events.

Councillor Rob Pritchard, portfolio holder for Communities, Crime Prevention and Culture at Hull City Council, said: “I’m delighted to see Hull Central Library hosting another brilliant Get It Loud in Libraries gig. It’s a great opportunity for Hull music fans to enjoy live music in a more unconventional and intimate setting.”
