Hull businesses urged to apply for Government financial support before funding ends

Businesses in Hull have until Friday 14 August to apply for the Government’s Covid-19 Small Business Support and Retail Hospitality Leisure Grant schemes.

Hull City Council has already issued grants to 4200 businesses, worth £48m.

All applications will be processed and concluded by Friday 28 August where necessary evidence requested has been provided.

Councillor Daren Hale, deputy leader of Hull City Council, said: “Officers have worked tirelessly to support our city’s businesses and get these grants issued as quickly as possible.

“The council will continue to do all it can to support our business community and I urge all businesses that are still eligible and can apply for this funding to do so as soon as possible.”

Businesses are encouraged to check their eligibility for Covid-19 Business Support Grants and submit claims via the council’s website here.
