Bond Street closed for two nights of roadworks

Bond Street in Hull will be closed for overnight roadworks for two nights starting from tonight.

The road in the city centre will be closed from 9pm on Wednesday 5 June to 6am on Thursday 6 June, and then from 9pm on Thursday 6 June to 6am on Friday 7 June.

The road will be closed southbound between New Garden Street and George Street.

A diversion route will be in place via Jarratt Street, Worship Street and Freetown Way, though access will be maintained for emergency services.

Councillor Anita Harrison, portfolio holder for highways, said: “To allow our contractor to carry out the work safely and swiftly, traffic management will be in place.

“We apologise in advance for any disruption caused during the period of works, and ask that motorists are patient as we carry out these essential works.”
