Hull Ice Arena to close temporarily

Hull Ice Arena will be temporarily closed for essential works from Monday 8 July.

Hot water boilers will be upgraded and the water cylinder will be replaced to provide a higher volume of water to the arena.

The rink will also receive a re-coating and be re-marked for ice hockey games.

The arena is due to re-open on Saturday 27 July.

A Hull City Council spokesperson said: “The council and staff at the arena would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.”

Lord Mayor’s Hanse Day 2019 is a combination of International Hanse Day and the Lord Mayor’s Gala.
Lucie McCarthy, Hull City Council’s principal archaeologist, says there is no reason for archaeology to slow the city's economic regeneration.
