Why children are going wild in Pearson Park this spring

Young adventurers are being invited to go wild this spring.

Every Saturday for five weeks at Pearson Park, children will be taking part in assault courses, story-telling, craft-making and various different games.

Activities for children aged from three to 12 will see children split into two age groups – Wild Tots, for children aged from three to six, and Wild Rangers for young adventures aged from seven to 12.

Organiser Caine Wild said: “Our Wild Rangers course is designed to get children creative outdoors. This specialist provision aims to develop friendships, leadership, problem solving creativity and discipline.

There will be various different outdoor activities on offer at Pearson Park this spring.

“From wild art to tracking and trailing, assault courses to den building, there’s something for everyone; with a different focus each week.

“Our Wild Tots course is designed to get children creative outdoors. Working alongside their parents, the aim is to develop friendships, problem solving, creativity and emotional awareness.

“Outdoor play is great for encouraging children’s creativity. Away from the constraints and confinement of indoor play, being outside, children’s imaginations are often stimulated by the objects around them and they quickly tap into their creativity.

“From wild art to tracking and trailing, sensory trails to den building, mini-beast hunting to hand painting; there’s something for everyone; a different session each week, so expect to get messy.”
