Essential maintenance work at George Street multi-storey car park

Essential electrical maintenance work will be carried out at George Street multi-storey car park next week.

To allow the maintenance work to take place, the car park will be closed from 4pm on Sunday 7 August until 7am on Monday 15 August.

Motorists can park in the following alternative multi-storey car parks:

Both of these car parks offer 24 hours’ parking for £3 and the usual parking permits are valid.

Andy Burton, Assistant Director (Streetscene) at Hull City Council, said: “We apologise for the inconvenience this work may cause to those who usually park in George Street multi-storey car park.

“Fortunately, we have plenty more low-cost parking available in the city centre, so people should still be able to park nearby.

“We have also scheduled this work to coincide with school holidays, when fewer people are travelling to work.

“We aim to get this essential work completed and the car park reopened as soon as we can.”
