The results for the local elections were declared in the early hours of Friday 3 May at the Guildhall.
Labour has retained control of Hull City Council with 31 seats out of a total of 57.
The political make-up of the council remains:
- Labour Group 31
- Liberal Democrat Group 24
- Conservative Group 2
New councillors will take up their new roles from midnight on Monday 6 May.
Any changes to the Cabinet will be announced by the Leader in due course.

The current political make-up of the council is:

But this may all change after today’s election.
One seat in 19 of Hull’s 21 Wards have today been contested, with nine Liberal Democrat and 10 Labour seats up for election.

Once elected, a councillor usually serves for four years before standing for re-election.
