Councillor Marjorie Brabazon, chair of Hull Culture and Leisure, said: “Congratulations to all the prize winners and all the incredible artists whose work is featured in this year’s Open Exhibition.

“Once again the exhibition has demonstrated the tremendous talent we have in our region. With the exhibition now engaging artists from further afield thanks, in large part, to the ability for artists to submit work online, it’s also been great to see work on display from all over the UK.”

This year there is a new prize, the People’s Vote, with the public being invited to vote for their favourite artwork during the first six weeks of the exhibition. The winner will be announced on Tuesday 31 March.
